The Human Transformation Edit transforming lives in Cumbria with The Human Transformation Coach – A once in a lifetime pause, to make positive change

The past 18 months have given us, for the first time in our lives, a moment of quiet and stillness that has never been experienced before, says Zoe Phillipa Hamilton, The Human Transformation Coach. Whilst the past 18 months have been the toughest time many of us have experienced in our lives, one positive thing that has come out of this time is a moment to be a little bit stiller.

This is not to suggest that workloads haven’t been ramped up, or that the juggle of life hasn’t been difficult to navigate with ever changing landscapes in both our work and personal lives. However, we have had for the first time ever, a prolonged spell of fewer distractions in our lives, with the inability to have been able to conduct our normal social activities, hobbies, and generally busying ourselves week in week out.

This pause is what has given both people and organisations time to assess and reflect, to determine if the previous normality is the right way to return to going forwards, and to also prioritise our mental and physical wellbeing.

Organisations are looking at the health & wellbeing of employees ever more so right now, as evidenced by the recent Carlisle Ambassadors Live Networking Event held in September at Carlisle Racecourse, where the first event after 18 months focused it’s theme on ‘Health & Wellbeing’. This area of focus at the moment has a spotlight on it, with employers who consider and implement a change around this area seeing improved employee retention & a happier, more productive, balanced & mentally robust workforce.

It highlights the need for this to be the priority going forwards for businesses and organisations. We cannot return to our old ways. There was an undercurrent in conversations about the changes organisations are wanting to bring about, in order to help and support those that work for them. It could be felt the desire to shake things up, and for companies to actively be seen to stand out in improving their wellbeing offering to employees, as part of their recruitment package.

After all, employees are whole human beings, with a 360 degree life, and if organisations are seen to care about the 360 degrees of a person and their life, viewing them as the whole and unique person that they are, with a holistic approach to wellbeing, then this is the very thing that creates loyalty, productivity and an overall improvement for the organisation. Employees are the heartbeat of any organisation. Take attentive care of that heartbeat, because when you take care of that, they’ll take care of you.

Wishing You Well,
