Penrith Industrial BID, on behalf of more than 150 Penrith firms, has today launched a new name and brand – Penrith Business Parks – that unites businesses that form the Business Improvement District.
The launch of the new brand follows the successful ballot in April 2018 to form a new Business Improvement District (BID) in Penrith for firms located on the Gilwilly Industrial Estate, PenrithIndustrial Estate and Eden Business Park. Business Improvement Districts, found all across the UK, enable businesses to work together to fund projects to improve their shared trading environment.
During extensive consultations in the development phase of the Business Improvement District, businesses said they wanted to make their industrial estates easier to find and better promote their prime location at the intersection of the M6 and A66.
A new Penrith Business Parks website launching today brings together business listings, local jobs and opportunities to join the estates. It will showcase Penrith’s business parks as a key business hub and attract new customers, new businesses, opportunities and employers. The Penrith Business Parks website also aims to provide a platform to make it easier for businesses to collaborate and foster a strong sense of community while the BID works to improve the area for everyone.

He said: “Creating a new unifying image for Penrith’s industrial estates through PenrithBusiness Parks will benefit all of our members, putting the spotlight on the diverse range of fantastic businesses located on the estates that we represent. It is the first in a number of projects we’re coordinating to improve our trading environment and foster cooperation, community and collaboration.”
Five years of planned projects and initiatives will include measures to promote a clean and managed environment, reduce crime and improve access and safety. The businesses included under the new Penrith Business Parks brand range from some of the UK’s most notable brands to a thriving community of small businesses and family-owned firms. All the directors of Penrith Business Parks work for or have offices in Penrith.
