Estate agents have access to a new low-cost tool to help them retain vendors.
The mobile communications specialist SMS Speedway is offering agents bespoke Vendor Reports.
These list the viewings of the vendor’s property, any feedback from potential buyers, where the property has been advertised and the number of click-throughs from websites such as Rightmove and Zoopla.
The reports are sent to vendors periodically, generated automatically by SMS Speedway’s software without wasting the agent’s valuable time.
Brad Kieser, the founder and chief executive of SMS Speedway, said: “Estate agents work very hard to secure vendors. Once they get them, they need to keep hold of them until the property is sold.
“If a property hasn’t sold, the vendor might be inclined to switch agent.
“Vendor Reports reduce the likelihood of that. They demonstrate to the vendor the work and effort that the agent has put in.
“That leads to higher retention rates, better reviews, more recommendations and, overall, a better customer experience.”
SMS Speedway also offers Landlord Reports for letting agents.
These are, in essence, regular financial reports showing the income received and any expenditure on the client’s property.
They are particularly valued by landlords based overseas, or in other parts of the country, enabling them to understand how their property is performing.
Again, the aim is to help the lettings agent retain the landlord.
SMS Speedway, based near Carlisle, Cumbria, specialises in providing messaging, marketing, automation and ID software for estate agents.
