It has been announced that a company in Cumbria has been awarded a prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise.
Barrnon Ltd, has received their award for innovation.
Barrnon Ltd was established in 2007 and is an engineering services provider based in Appleby. The company identified an opportunity to develop specialist equipment for the decommissioning of nuclear sites.
The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are the UK’s most prestigious business awards, offering recipients global recognition that their company is outstanding in its field. Winners are invited to attend a Buckingham Palace reception and can use the Awards Emblem as an internationally recognised endorsement.
The Awards recognise and encourage the outstanding achievements of UK businesses in the fields of:
• Innovation
• International Trade
• Sustainable Development
• Promoting Opportunity through social mobility
Almost all UK businesses (including non-profit) can apply and the application process is free. All applications must be made online.
Entries open for the 2021/22 Queen’s Awards for Enterprise from 1 May 2021. The deadline for entries is 10 September 2021 at midday.
