Matthews Cotswold Flours have teamed up with northern bakery Lovingly Artisan to encourage as many people as possible across the UK to dust off their aprons and get baking to help raise funds to support the refugees fleeing the war in Ukraine.
Matthews and Lovingly Artisan are kicking off the month-long campaign, which will run throughout April, by asking both professional and home bakers to get their bake on and create whatever they can and then sell their bakes to raise vital funds to support the efforts of the British Red Cross Ukraine Crisis Appeal helping the millions of displaced people entering Europe as they escape from the conflict.

Alongside that Lovingly Artisan Bakery are donating baking know how in the form of recipes and insight as well as freshly baked bread, including 2000 ciabattas, which they will be donating over the course of the weekend of 01st and 02nd April, so that they can then be sold through the numerous outlets they supply in both the Lakes and Manchester in return for those outlets making donations to the fundraising effort throughout the weekend as they aim to raise vital funds. Matthews and Lovingly Artisan are hoping to reach out to as many home bakers and professional bakers as possible to help play their part in supporting some of the 10 million Ukrainian citizens displaced by the Russian invasion of their country.
