Some mornings I wake up, thinking all this was a dream. That there was no such thing as Coronavirus… that I am still hugging my friends,…that I am going for drinks after work, seeing some live gigs and have a room full of students in the gallery….
And then I properly wake up….
But then I realise my husband’s still there… eyesight restored and my son is getting ready to go to school…
Christmas will be different this year, As normally we have a big Christmas gathering at my brother in laws, this year it will just be the 3 of us. Our other son is studying in Southampton, so the responsible thing to do is for him not to come home this year. He will be joining us via zoom.
We had a good run up to Christmas in the gallery. Lots of pet portrait commissions. I can’t show you any new images, as they are all surprises.They take me longer to paint then cows, but this is only because I’ve got to get it right. These portraits are very personal. People know their own animals very well. I enjoy the messages I get afterwards. Happy partners
There is no time now to get one done before Christmas, but there is still time to order a gift voucher.
We are open every day until Christmas eve, that Day we close at 4.00pm
Some great ideas for last minute shopping… Cushions made in faux suede,lovely and soft to the touch. Or some very well made bags. All very colour fast.
Plenty of prints in the gallery too. There is no more time to ship them, but you can collect what we have in stock. Please ring beforehand if there is a specific one you want, so I can confirm we have got it in stock.
Let’s hope that things go back to normal in 2001, and the overseas visitors return….
