Stagecoach, the UK’s leading bus operator, is reinforcing its commitment to passengers during National Customer Service Week (6–10 October), following a significant rise in the latest UK Customer Satisfaction Index.
The business, which runs vital services across Barrow, Workington, Carlisle, Kendal, Morecambe, Lancaster and West Cumbria, has moved up from 28th to 20th out of 37 transport organisations, recording an impressive 4.6-point increase compared to last year.
Throughout the week, colleagues across Cumbria and North Lancashire will take part in a special initiative – ‘See It, Hear It, Share It’. The campaign is a call to action to experience the service through the eyes of customers, feeding back positive stories as well as areas where improvements can be made.
Each day will spotlight the people and the work that makes bus travel with Stagecoach more affordable and better for the environment, but also easier and more enjoyable for everyone. The campaign underlines how exceptional colleague performance directly contributes to a better customer experience.
Tom Waterhouse, Managing Director for Stagecoach Cumbria and North Lancashire, said:
“The latest UK Customer Satisfaction Index results are really encouraging – it’s fantastic to see tangible evidence of progress and, at Stagecoach, customers are at the heart of everything we do.
“National Customer Service Week is a great opportunity to recognise both our customers and our colleagues. From our drivers to our support teams, everyone plays a vital role in delivering customer-first excellence.
“Our ‘See It, Hear It, Share It’ initiative will shine a light on the positive customer stories that truly make a difference, while giving us valuable insights to keep improving our services across the region.”
