One of Cumbria’s leading domiciliary care providers has announced a new 24-hour care package which will allow more individuals to stay in their own homes while receiving the care that they need.
Bellcare, in Workington, noticed a rise in enquiries for round-the-clock care in recent years and has put together a new care package that will meet the growing demand of the Cumbrian community.
The Department of Health & Social Care (DHSC) forecast 57% more adults aged 65 and over in England will require care in 2038 compared to 2018.
Homecare providers like Bellcare have also seen a significant increase in demand for hospital discharge services – nearly two-thirds of providers across the UK (64%) suggested there has been a rise in the quantity of care packages for people who were being discharged from hospital.

Bellcare also offers more flexible packages that take the service user’s needs into account; packages can be longer than the standard 30-minute or hour house calls if required.
