TWO Cumbrian business services are joining forces to help companies in Cumbria by offering new ways to support producers and service providers in the county.
Chesworth Communication and Cafe Cumbria are working in partnership to make it easier for people to raise their profile and build their businesses.
Cafe Cumbria was created by Cumbrian based Tom Bell in 2010 as a LinkedIn group for business with an interest in Cumbria – a place for networking, discussion, sharing information and finding inspiration.

Chesworth Communications launched Cumbria’s first online business news service, eBusinessCumbria in 2009 and provide media training and communications services.
Karen Morley-Chesworth, a partner in Chesworth Communications, said: “We provide support to help businesses of all sizes and sectors across Cumbria promote their services and products, and share the latest information and support to help them grow.
“With the devastating impact of the COVID pandemic on the local economy, we decided to launch a free media training group to share our knowledge of PR, marketing and communications – Big Story Media group on Facebook.
“Tom was looking to develop Cafe Cumbria on LinkedIn, and our shared passion for supporting local business led to our decision to work together on this project.”
Tom said: “There has never been a more critical time for businesses to use all the tools available to them to raise awareness of what they offer, build their networks and create new opportunities.
“Our new partnership with Cafe Cumbria – now Cafe Cumbria24 will make it easier for businesses to access networks and increase their presence.
“As well as sharing information and discussions through Cafe Cumbria24, there are opportunities to develop promotions across Cumbria24.com, eBusinessCumbria.com and online media training services for business with little or no budget.
“Together, we invite business people, to join us and together we can help boost the Cumbrian economy by helping businesses from the grassroots up.”
Cafe Cumbria24 is a free networking platform available on LinkedIn and now Facebook as well.
