Cumbria Tourism has teamed up with Inspired Energy plc to help businesses ‘Go Green’.
The county’s official Destination Management Organisation has joined forces with the specialist energy consultancy to enable tourism businesses to find the best green energy deals, so they not only save money but can also help save the planet too.
Green energy tariffs have been rising rapidly in popularity, meaning suppliers promise to match all or some of the electricity which businesses use with renewable energy sources which feeds back into the National Grid.
Now Cumbria Tourism is helping Inspired Energy plc spread the word about the best green energy deals available for tourism businesses, so they can help reduce gas and electricity consumption and cut their bills.
Alex Coope, Head of Partner Relations at Inspired Energy plc, says, “Helping businesses ‘Go Green’ is something we all feel passionate about and with the help of Cumbria Tourism and its tourism member businesses I truly believe we can make an impact.
