THE National Trust is begging to reopen some their gardens and parklands in England and Northern Ireland through advanced booking, including some in Cumbria.
A spokesperson for NT said: “We want to make it as easy as possible for you to visit the places you love, and enjoy the landscapes and nature we’ve all missed.
“We’ve opened more than 200 coast and countryside car parks in England and Northern Ireland. However, our houses remain closed. We’ve started to open some gardens and parklands in England and Northern Ireland through advanced booking
“We’ve opened more than 200 coast and countryside car parks in England and Northern Ireland. All National Trust places in Wales have to remain closed due to government guidance.
“We’re following government advice closely and will reopen more places as soon as we can. We’ll keep this page up to date with the latest opening information so please keep checking.
“We’ve introduced advanced booking at some places to help manage visitor numbers and maintain safe, social distancing. All visitors must book in advance for the places listed below, even if you’re a member. Sadly, if you don’t book, you’ll be turned away.
“We’re limiting numbers to make sure that we can keep visitors and staff safe. Advance tickets do go quickly, and most places are now fully booked up to 14 June. New tickets are released every Friday for the following week. We’re also opening more gardens and parks every week and increasing the tickets available for those places already open. If your nearest place isn’t showing as open yet, it’s worth checking back regularly as things change every week.
