The work of a Cumbrian animal rescue centre is featured the UK’s leading dog magazine, Dogs Today and walker publication Cumbria and Lakeland Walker. i
The features in this months publications highlight the work of Eden Animal Rescue to create a new kennel block at their centre at Moorlands Head Farm in Newbiggin, near Temple Sowerby.
The charity has has raised £115,000 towards the £500,000 needed to complete the build and fitting out of new kennels.
Chair of Eden Animal Rescue, David Simmons said: “The feature in Dogs Today, such a prestigious national dog publication is really helping to raise awareness of our fundraising challenge. And to have an article in Cumbria and Lakeland Walker the same month has been an added bonus to highlight our work.
“We have had donations from across the country for our new kennels, so the Dogs Today and Cumbria and Lakeland Walker magazine articles, will really helps continue to raise awareness of our fundraising.
“Every donation is so welcome, and we are grateful to individuals and organisations that have supported us so far.
“There are also opportunities for businesses to sponsor a kennel, which would be named after their firm, providing a lasting thank you seen by everyone who visits Eden Animal Rescue’s centre.”
General Manager of Eden Animal Rescue, Sarah Bean said: “It is a real boost for us all to have the work of the charity featured in not one, but two magazines this month.”
