The North West Family Business Awards 2024 ceremony was a night to remember as the regional champions were crowned in front of a packed audience. This highly anticipated event celebrated the success and accomplishments of family-owned businesses throughout the region.
Lovingly Artisan Bakery based in Altrincham, Manchester and Kendal, Cumbria, named as a finalist earlier this year, were announced as the winner of the Food & Drink Producer category on the night.
Organised by The Family Business Community, the North West Family Business Awards ceremony held at Bolton Football Stadium. Among the 430 guests in attendance were some of the most distinguished names from the North West family business world, including entrepreneurs, industry experts and leaders who all came together to recognise the achievements of the region’s most innovative and successful family businesses.
Catherine Connor, co-owner of Lovingly Artisan Bakery commented: ‘’What an incredible year we’re having. We’ve been fortunate to win several high-profile awards so far this year, including Food & Drink Producer of the Year at the Northwest Family Business Awards, Retailer of the Year, Baker of the Year and Northwest Regional Champion all in the Farm Shop & Deli Retailer Awards 2024, as well as collecting the award for Britain’s Best Artisan Bakery in the Baker’s Dozen Awards for the second consecutive year. We can’t get over it, all of these are a massive pat on the back for the bakery teams at Altrincham and Kendal, and demonstrate that we’re ensuring that we deliver the best possible products to our customers across the Northwest.’’
The Northwest Family Business awards were once again presented by food writer, broadcaster and proud northerner Nigel Barden, along with co-founders of the Family Business Community, Dave Clarkson & Sue Howorth who have expressed their delight at the success of the event: “We always want to create an unforgettable experience for all attendees, and bringing the awards to Bolton, added an extra layer of magic to the occasion. The turnout of Family Businesses and those who support the sector was incredible. We’re so grateful for everyone who came out to support the awards and recognise the hard work and dedication of our North West family businesses. It was truly an unforgettable night for everyone in the room!”
