HOME Instead South Lakes, a local at-home care company based in Kendal, is celebrating three years of providing care and companionship to elderly and vulnerable people throughout the community.
Opened in 2018 by husband and wife duo, Will and Judy Clay, Home Instead South Lakes provides high-quality companionship-led care to people across the Lake District, including Windemere, Ambleside, Grange-over-Sands and Bowness.
The company is rated ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission, ranking in the top 3% of homecare providers in the UK. Alongside this, they’ve been named in the top 20 ‘Most Recommended’ in the North West of England by homecare.co.ukfor the past two years.
Home Instead and their caregivers have continued to keep local seniors safe throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. They’ve also looked after their staff, achieving a five-star employer award for the past two years due to positive feedback from their staff.
Will commented: “We are so happy to be celebrating three years of business with Home Instead, and we look forward to celebrating many more. Three years on from our launch and we now employ over 50 caregivers and office staff, who deliver thousands of hours of care to our clients every month. We want to say a special thank you to our caring team, as without them we couldn’t do what we do!”
Judy commented: “We used to live in Hampshire, but we love the Lake District so much that we took the plunge and moved here permanently in 2017. We both had experience in management, but wanted to launch our own business and found the perfect opportunity with Home Instead. We are real family people, with five of our own children and four grandchildren. We are proud to provide the kind of care we would want for our own family.
“We’ve built an amazing team here at Home Instead and we have changed so many people’s lives in a positive way. The past year has been uniquely challenging year for all of us, but we are so proud of the way our team responded to the challenges they faced, and we’re excited to press on with new projects, including the launch of our live-in care service in 2021!”
