Martha said: “Please also note that we have limited places available at our other seminars this week. Don’t miss out!”

Aimed at HR professionals, decision-makers, and business owners, they always cover what is topical and advise on all the need-to-know cases and legislation.

The seminars will be hosted by our approachable Employment Lawyers, Joanne Holborn, Tom Scaife, Caroline Rayner and Heather Bottomley.

You will leave the session with a real understanding of how to apply your knowledge to the workplace. You will also have the opportunity to ask any questions during the course of the seminar and to network with other HR professionals and business owners.

The seminar will cover:

The steps to handling a grievance successfully
Grievance can be very tricky to spot and deal with. Our team will cover how to handle a grievance, including the investigation process, your grievance policy, the ACAS Code and best practice when dealing with grievances.

Dealing with the rise in data breach claims
As our world becomes more digital and cyber risk becomes heightened, data breach claims are on the increase. Our team will discuss the potential claims that can arise as a result of data breaches and how to respond to them should they be brought or threatened against your business.

Drug and alcohol misuse at work
CIPD published a report which sets out the impact that the pandemic has had on working life, in particular how it has heightened many wellbeing risk factors including the misuse of drugs and alcohol. It is important that employers know how to support employees experiencing problems. Our team will explore managing drug and alcohol misuse at work and preventative action that can be taken to avoid complex situations.

Working with long COVID
‘Post-COVID-19 syndrome’ or long COVID is when people experience coronavirus symptoms for a long time after the infection for weeks, months and even years. Employers need to be aware of the changing effects of long COVID and their impact on normal sickness absence and return to work procedures. Our team will explore this as well as discussing capability and disability issues surrounding long COVID.

Case law and legislation update
Our team will provide an update on the most important case law that could affect businesses and the latest legislation changes employers need to know.

You can raise any questions you have on any employment law or HR matter on the day or raise a question in advance.
