More than 50 high-level delegates from across the globe will be heading to the Lake District next month, as the Lakeside Hotel & Spa hosts the annual conference for the International Association of Maritime Institutions (IAMI).
The association is UK-based but has members as far afield as Europe, Australia, South Africa, the USA and the Middle East. It provides education and training for the Merchant Navy, towing, fishing and Super Yacht industries, and this is the third year in a row that IAMI has selected Lakeside for the two-day event on 8 and 9 May 2019.
Lakeside Hotel’s Training Manager Lorna Webster has also been chosen as one of the speakers, to talk to participants about recruitment and training at a luxury hospitality business.
She will line up alongside speakers from renowned maritime organisations such as the Merchant Navy Training Board, the Maritime and Coastguard Agency, and training consultants to the maritime sector.

Lakeside Hotel & Spa hosts more than 50 conferences and business events every year, ranging from meetings for small local organisations to hotel takeovers for international brands.
