44th annual Lakes Hospitality Trade Show

The 44th annual Lakes Hospitality Trade Show has brought together a diverse range of hospitality businesses at the Junction 36 Rural Auction Centre over the last two days (13 and 14 March 2019).

Seminars on hot topics

The event featured a series of seminars on hot topics affecting the industry, with the current issues around Brexit being a major talking point. It also attracted businesses from far beyond Cumbria, with tourism and hospitality-related companies coming from across Lancashire, Yorkshire and the North East to showcase their brands and build industry relationships.

Following the success of this year’s event, the dates for next year’s Lakes Hospitality Trade Show can now be unveiled as: 25 and 26 March 2020.

40% new exhibitors

Co-director of the Lakes Hospitality Association, James Tasker, comments, “The buzz around this year year’s show has been fantastic.  What’s been really important is the quality of visitor, with people coming here and genuinely using the event to make connections and do business. 40% of the exhibitors here have also been completely new to the show, which really does show how we are continuing to attract new interest from a wide area.

He adds, “It’s been a great event, but we can’t rest on our laurels. We are already looking ahead to 2020 and all the innovative ways we can expand and build on this momentum for the future!”

Exhibitor Andrea King from Lakeland Artisan says, “The show has been so beneficial for us, not just to push our products but to network and to get to know other people from the Northern business community.  It’s been extremely busy and we’ll definitely be back next year.”

The Lakes Hospitality Association (LHA) teamed up with Cumbria Tourism to stage the 44th Lakes Hospitality Trade Show.
