The next LA23NET networking event is looking at the changes for Cumbria coming on April 1, 2023.
It’s all change for local government in Cumbria and LA23NET networking are bringing you, the business community, a unique opportunity to meet the people at the centre of one of the biggest changes seen in our county for decades.
From April 1, the current six district councils and Cumbria County Council will be replaced by two new unitary authorities.
Andrew Seekings, chief executive of the new Cumberland Council, and Sam Plum, chief executive of the Westmorland and Furness Council, will be joining the event to talk about the changes and answer questions just days before the big switchover.
The event will take place at the Rheged Centre, Penrith, on March 22 from 5.30pm, and on the evening, you’ll also have the chance to enjoy the Great Print 8 exhibition, which showcases the work of 58 printmakers from across the UK.
