Heft set to celebrate its first New Year’s Eve and all that jazz…

Heft - Head Chef Tom Dicken and Chef Patron Kevin Tickle in the kitchen

The team at Heft are always looking to be a little unconventional and New Year promises to be no exception…

Especially seeing as it’s their first, they thought they’d better set the tone for 2022… Think sharp suits, sequined finery, cocktails, fizz and the finest of food… which sounds like ‘the berries’ to us – and that’s a definite nod to the roaring 20’s!

Things get underway with a glass of something fizzy from 6.30pm on New Year’s Eve in the restaurant and then it’s all culinary systems go from there on in, because Kevin and Tom have been given free rein to go wild with the menus and conjure up some truly spectacular dishes.

Using only the finest seasonal ingredients, as you would expect the culinary duo have created a feast for the senses in the form of a ten-course tasting menu and it’s one that’s guaranteed to bowl you over.

But unlike the prohibition era this won’t be a ‘giggle water’ free zone – you can rest assured the 20’s inspired cocktail creations and drinks pairings are being tried and tested by Hannah, Heft’s bar impresario as we speak, so it’s going to be a rare old time that’s for sure.

Dinner in the restaurant is priced at £150 per person, and includes a glass of fizz on arrival, a ten course tasting menu, coffee and petit fours and a glass of fizz to toast in the New Year. Cocktails and matched drinks pairings are charged separately. Tables can be booked through the Heft website.

For the first time, as well as dinner in the restaurant, we’ll also be reserving tables in our bar area from 7.00pm for the duration of the evening – think speakeasy. We’ll be serving a late supper of charcuterie, baked Tunworth cheese, smoked salmon, artisan breads and pickles alongside some other tasty treats.

Bar tables are available to book and are priced at £40 per person. Tickets include a late supper and a glass of fizz to see in the New Year. A selection of cocktails will also be available alongside our usual drinks offering. You can book a table at info@heftghighnewton.co.uk

Can’t make it for New Year’s Eve then don’t worry we’ve also created a special five-course festive tasting menu for lunch priced at £50 per person and a ten-course festive tasting menu for dinner priced at £110 per person. Both are being served on 21st, 22nd, 23rd, in the build up to Christmas Day, and then leading us nicely into the New Year being served on 28th, 29th and 30th December.
