Harrison Holidays is celebrating the launch of phase two of its brand-new leisure and entertainment complex at Wild Rose Holiday Park in Cumbria. An indoor and outdoor heated swimming pool sitting within contemporary landscaping and sun terraces is the star attraction in this stunning new addition to the holiday park, which includes a coffee shop, farm shop, soft play and hub. Wild Rose is situated in the Eden Valley, an area of unspoilt natural beauty that looks out towards the Pennines, and offers holiday stays and holiday home options.
The outdoor pool area is landscaped in natural stone and decking to compliment the surroundings of the Cumbrian countryside, with sun loungers poolside and on a terrace so that you can relax and take in the views. A huge crittall-style window seamlessly links the inside and outside spaces, with the pool flowing from one to the other and plenty of loungers to be found indoors. Heated to a balmy 29°C swimming at Wild Rose is an experience that you can look forward to whatever the weather.
Also overlooking the pool and countryside backdrop is the new coffee shop, which has a large glassed balcony. From the tables and chairs you can see the picture perfect pool, parasols and planting that sit below. Inside the main building you’ll find the farm shop, which is stocked with local produce and specialist food brands. And an exciting new entertainment for those with younger children is the soft play area; spacious, bright and colourful with slides and ball pools it will make under 5s very happy. Everything about the space is sociable, and that includes the hub where you’ll find the Harrison Holidays team to help with any enquires.
The opening of the new leisure complex sees £7million of investment at Wild Rose Holiday Park come to fruition, with the complete refurbishment of the Coast & Country Bar and Restaurant having taken place in 2022. Coast & Country oozes modern and fresh styling with boothed seating, luscious planting, wicker light fittings, parquet flooring and lots of natural lighting. Serving a menu from breakfast through to dinner, as well as drinks until 11pm, it’s a fabulous place to spend time as part of your holiday. It’s also a central point for entertainment from a staged area for live music to the American themed sports bar and private dining.
William Harrison, Chairman of Harrison Holidays, says, “We are extremely proud of what we have achieved at Wild Rose Holiday Park. The new leisure complex is a superb addition, bringing all the facilities and stylish sophistication that holidaymakers are looking for. It looks amazing inside and out, and this is testament to the hard work and dedication of our team, including our Head of Projects & Developments, Jamie McMurrough.”

This is the vision that has been the inspiration behind the work at Wild Rose and we are thrilled with the results. The new leisure park has been designed to give it a contemporary edge that adds a sense of luxury, but is also very family friendly and will be a real focal point for holidaymakers.”
