The gavel will be coming down on April 6 on a mammoth charity sale at 1818 Auctioneers for Eden Animal Rescue’s new Kennel Project.
The 82 lots include collectable ceramics and glass, paintings, silver, jewellery, textiles and many more interesting items. In addition, there are 10 ‘Experience’ lots on offer including a hot air balloon flight for two, a night for two in a historic hotel with a behind-the-scenes tour and the possibility of meeting the two ghosts the hotel is reputed to have.
There is also the chance for two people to be Racehorse owners for a day, the opportunity to spend two nights in a luxury Shepherd’s hut and a tour for four of a local brewery with a tasting session included! These and the other items in the sale can be seen on 1818Auctioneers website.
The Auction House is waiving the normal commission fees so all the profits from the sale go to Eden Animal Rescue’s New Kennels Fund. The organiser of the Auction, Eden Animal Rescue Trustee Fran Flower said: “We are sincerely thankful to 1818 for their support, waiving the commission fees and for all the work they have put into setting up and running the auction.
“People have been really generous with their donations, and we have some very special items up for sale.”
We encourage everyone to look at the auction online and to register (a very easy process) so they can then bid! The auction items can be viewed between 10am and 2pm each week on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. It is an easy journey down to the Auction House which is just off junction 36 of the M6. And there is an excellent café there too!
“Without the help of our supporters and volunteers, this project would not have been possible. We have more fundraising events coming up, including an opportunity to have your name or message as part of the fabric of Eden Animal Rescue’s Moorlands Head Farm HQ with commemorative pavers and limited opportunities to sponsor a kennel to help raise the final funds needed.”
The online auction closes on April 6 at 4pm after which the items will be sold to the highest bidder online.
