JO Lade of REflex Orthopaedic Massage and LOGiC Pain Education is our guest speaker at Abbott Lodge Jersey Ice Cream Farm from 7.30pm on Wednesday 15 January, says Sally Seed of Penrith Rural Women’s Netowrk.
Jo’s business started out with a focus on remedial massage but is now equally as focused on helping people live with and manage pain better.
As Jo describes it: “I spend a lot of my time thinking about and working with something most people don’t want to think about – pain! I work with patients who come to me primarily because they have pain which is impeding their quality of life; together we create a treatment plan to address their symptoms and get them back to normal as quickly as possible.
“Often this entails helping patients make sense of what’s going on in their body and what the pain means to them – pain doesn’t always mean you’ve hurt yourself. In fact, pain can happen without any injury or even a body part needed at all. I look forward to introducing you to the weird and wonderful world of pain!”
