One of Cumbria’s leading Full Fibre broadband providers, Fibrus, is rolling out Wi-Fi 7 for the first time with the launch of the fastest router it has ever offered: eero 7.
Eligible customers can now also avail of speeds up to 2Gb with the Full Fibre 2000 package, which has been launched alongside eero 7. Both the 1Gb and 2Gb packages come with two eero 7 routers for even better coverage across the home.
The new router, from eero, is a Wi-Fi 7 router designed to reduce weak signal areas and provide a more reliable connection across the home. One device can cover up to 2,000sq ft and support more than 120 connected devices at the same time. It can deliver wireless speeds of up to 1.8Gbps and wired speeds of up to 2.3Gbps through its two Ethernet ports.
The router uses eero’s patented TrueMesh software which learns the layout of your network to intelligently route traffic and optimise your Wi-Fi. Customers can set it up through the eero app, while automatic software updates add new features and security protection over time.
The innovative upgrade is aimed at households where several people may be streaming, gaming, working from home or using smart devices at the same time, helping more of the broadband speed entering the property reach the devices people use every day.
Colin Hutchinson, Managing Director of Fibrus, said: “There is little value in bringing faster broadband into a home if the Wi-Fi signal does not reach the rooms and devices where people need it. By pairing our new 2Gb service with eero’s award-winning Wi-Fi 7 technology, we can help customers get more from their connection throughout the home.
“eero 7 will help our customers’ home Wi-Fi keep pace as families connect more phones, televisions, games consoles and smart devices than ever before. We are committed to giving our customers a stronger and more reliable experience beyond the broadband connection itself and so we are delighted to officially launch eero 7 today, improving the service we offer and our customers’ experience.”
“We’re excited to collaborate with Fibrus to bring eero 7 to homes across Northern Ireland,” said Chris Thursfield-Walton, Head of Partner Success at eero.
“eero 7 is designed to help customers get the most from their broadband connection by delivering fast, reliable Wi-Fi coverage in every room. Compared to Wi-Fi 6 devices, eero 7’s Wi-Fi 7 technology provides faster speeds and reduces latency. Together with Fibrus’s Full Fibre network, we’re helping households stay seamlessly connected whether they’re streaming, gaming, or working from home.”
eero 7 router is available to new Fibrus broadband customers on Full Fibre 1000 packages and above. More information about how to sign up or upgrade can be found at www.fibrus.com.
