Nearly 7,000 more properties across Cumbria will have access to lightning-fast Full Fibre broadband supplied by Fibrus.
Dalston, Keswick, Seaton and Arnside will soon experience the benefits of Full Fibre, with almost 7,000 homes and businesses in these towns having access to fibrefast speeds in the coming months, thanks to Fibrus Broadband.
This development brings cutting-edge connectivity to properties, with speeds of up to 1Gb, ensuring that these areas are well equipped for the digital future.
They are the latest to join other recently connected towns around Cumbria, including Penrith, Workington and Ambleside, with homes and businesses now able to benefit from the improved infrastructure across the county.
Fibrus would like to thank the towns’ residents for their patience and co-operation while work is being carried out in their areas.
Reflecting on the latest roll-out, Colin Hutchinson, Chief Financial Officer for Fibrus, said:
“We’re delighted to be able to bring the benefits of our Full Fibre network to even more communities in Cumbria. The latest connection of Dalston, Keswick, Seaton and Arnside means that local residents and businesses connectable to the network will benefit from fibrefast speeds, market leading value, all supported by our award-winning customer service. At Fibrus we’re committed to delivering faster, more reliable broadband directly to your door.”
Residents interested in getting connected can check their postcode at fibrus.com/availability to see if they are connectable to Fibrus Broadband.
As well as investing in improving the local broadband infrastructure, Fibrus is committed to investing in the local communities which it serves.
The Fibrus Community Fund has seen the company invest £60,000 over the last 12 months to tackle digital poverty across Cumbria, such as giving £2,000 to fund specialist pens for West Cumbria Dyslexia Association, and buying a MacBook Pro and iPad for Kirkgate Arts Centre in Cockermouth.
This investment sits alongside the Fibrus Play it Forward fund, which supports grassroots clubs and provided grants to nearly 20 sports clubs across the region last year, helping, for example, Threlkeld Cricket Club to buy clothing and equipment for its junior teams.
