CUMBRIAN based marketing expert, Lisa Jackson of Acorn Marketing is proving support for small businesses with Facebook Live sessions and this month she has invited Cumbria24 & eBusinessCumbria Web Editor Karen Morley-Chesworth to join her.
Lisa and Karen will be discussing public relations and providing advice on marketing.
Lisa said: “During this difficult time, I wanted to help other small businesses, giving advice, tips and tricks on a whole host of marketing and social media tactics.
“My next Facebook live session looks at Public Relations and how to make the most of it for your small business.
“There is often a lot of focus on social and digital marketing these days, which is great and does take up a lot of my work. However, there is still something very valuable in traditional and offline marketing. Thinking about all areas of marketing and not just focusing on one thing can be really beneficial.
“One of these areas I wanted to discuss was PR. I often find that people think PR is placing an advert in the paper, or you need to entice a journalist to come and interview, but it can be much simpler than that.
“I’ll also be joined by Karen Morely-Chesworth, of Chesworth Communications. Karen runs the agency with her husband and daughter. They have more than 30 years’ experience of working for national and regional press in Manchester and London.
“Chesworth Communications provides specialist media, engagement and promotional services – including training in media management and PR.”
Karen added: “I was delighted to be invited to join Lisa on her Facebook Live. Like Lisa, we are working to help as many local business people as possible recover from the impact of COVID and we have launched Big Story Media Facebook group to provide more information on how to make the media work for their organisation.
“Together we will be give some top tips and an insight into PR, so if you have a story to tell and not sure how to do it, this session is for you.”
