A LIVE events and communications company based in Cumbria has welcomed Rishi Sunak’s ‘world-leading package’ to support music and theatre venues.
Thousands of organisations across a vast range of sectors including performing arts and theatres, heritage, historic places, museums, galleries, live music and independent cinema will be able to access emergency grants and loans.
Based in Gosforth, Platinum Live Ltd provide event support and communications services to theatre producers, venues, fellow event companies and local festivals throughout the year and in particular the summer events season.
In response to the announcement on Sunday, Oliver Hodgson MD of Platinum Live said: “This is very welcome too all in the cultural, arts, heritage and live music sectors.
“We work at various fantastic venues in the county with some of the most incredible artistes and creatives most of whom are freelance, who we hope this provides reassurance to.
“Theatres and music venues in Cumbria are quite simply beautiful, some small, some large and they are all ran by lovely people.
“There is a great amount of theatre and music professionals tucked up in the Lakes and they are some of the best in the business.
“I am personally excited to get back to these venues to both work at and to enjoy the shows and events.”
