Walby Farm Park, near Carlisle, are celebrating after they have been awarded a Traveller’s Choice Award from Trip Advisor, putting them in the top 10% of attractions worldwide.
Every year, TripAdvisor celebrates attractions that consistently deliver amazing experiences with a Travellers’ Choice Award—and this year, Walby Farm Park made the list.
The team at Walby Farm Park are currently gearing up for a Summer of Fun on the Farm with a whole line up of special events for visitors including Den Building, Foot Golf, Birds of Prey, Meet the Dinosaurs, National Festival Circus, Pond Dipping as well as the popular daily Farm Foam Parties. They will also be opening the gates to their Sunflower field during the holidays too.
There is no doubt that the past two years have been extremely difficult for the tourism industry, with some attractions seeing a decrease of up to 76% in visitor numbers* (according to Visit England), but the team are feeling positive and hope things are getting back to normal. To encourage more visitors this year owners Neil and Katie Milbourn are introducing a Summertime Pass, which allows people to visit all summer long, for one initial cost.

“We have had so long with restrictions in place, it is finally nice to get a summer where we can have lots of fun again. Guests don’t need to worry about the weather as the fun happens inside and out, whatever the British summertime throws at us! Visitors can enjoy Cumbria’s largest adventure play area and the new Milecastle62 Roman Fort, as well as all the farm animals in the Animal Barn which are all undercover, so lots of fun is guaranteed.
