The waiting is over for book lovers in Cumbria, who are looking forward to Borderlines Book Festival 2019 – as organisers reveal the line up for the Carlisle event.
I am so excited to have the opportunity to hear one of my favourite authors, Alexander McCall Smith, creator of the No1 Ladies’ Detective Agency and many other enchanting characters is returning to the festival.
For lovers of detective series Vera and Shetland, novelist Ann Cleeves who created the books which spawn the TV adaptations will also be at the festival.
Joanne Harris will also be talking about her career following the global success of her bestselling novel Chocolat and the film-adaptation.
And the Yorkshire Shepherdess will be popping over the border to Cumbria to share her tales of life on her dales farm. And Gervase Phinn will also be coming from Yorkshire to tell his comic tales of life as a school inspector.
