Due to the increase in demand for blood, the NHS Blood and Transplant service have added extra appointments this week to blood doning session in Cumbria.
A spokesperson for NHS Blood Transplant said: “Blood stocks are in a very vulnerable position at the moment and we need to try and collect as much as we can over the coming weeks.”
There are spaces on sessions throughout July and August in Carlisle.
