ACROSS Eden artists are opening the doors of their studios to welcome visitors and local artist Valerie Stamper, shares her plans for Open Studio fortnight.
I have opened up my studio for the EVAN Art Trail – I think I’m the only artist in the Appleby area taking part in the Art Trail this time.
My studio in Hilton, near Appleby, is open to visitors 7 days a week for the next fortnight (until 20 September) from 10am until 4pm each day.
So if people have some free time over the next two weeks they are very welcome to drop by for a browse, a chat and an insight into how I create some of my work.
I’d really love to see them – a wide selection of my work is on display, as are my sketchbooks. Plus there’s the beautiful views of the Scordale Valley to enjoy from my studio windows.
There is also a lovely selection of pendants, wood-turned bowls and clocks by Phil Sampson on display too. Signs pointing the way to my studio are up throughout the village.
