Armstrong Watson Financial Planning is delighted to announce the appointments of Stewart Crockett as Managing Director and Justin Rourke (pictured)as Financial Planning Director – Head of Advice.
Stewart joins Armstrong Watson after 23 years with Close Brothers Asset Management, where he was Managing Director. Having worked in financial services throughout his entire career – starting in retail banking, insurance and then for the last two decades in financial planning and wealth management – Stewart has a mass of experience. He is also a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.
His key objective at Armstrong Watson Financial Planning Limited is to build on the success that has been achieved by the financial planning team in recent decades.
“Armstrong Watson has always had a great reputation,” he says. “I hope to further expand on the success that has already been achieved and then help grow the business by using my experiences from different businesses. There are high-quality, professional and talented individuals here so I’m looking forward to working with them to take the business forward.”
Justin has been with the firm for 10 years and was promoted to Senior Financial Planning Manager in 2019. He succeeds David Squire as Head of Advice, a role that sees him join the board of Armstrong Watson Financial Planning Limited.
Justin, who is based in Penrith, will help lead the firm’s financial planning department, ensuring the delivery of excellent client outcomes. He will also be responsible for defining the client advice process, and the effective delivery and implementation of the firm’s investment strategy.
Commenting on his promotion, Justin, said: “To be able to succeed David as Head of Advice gives me a great deal of pride.
“I look forward to continuing to work with my clients in Penrith, whilst also being able to help to shape and develop our advice proposition both now and over the coming years.
“I am passionate about ensuring that we continue to deliver excellent client outcomes and providing direction to the financial planning team to ensure we lead the way in delivering independent and holistic advice.”
