Eden Animal Rescue is seeking a stone carver to help raise funds for an new kennel block.
As work progresses on building the new block including plans for a new pathway around the rescue centre, the charity is offering a new way of being part of the build.
The animal charity needs to raise £500,000 to fund the on-going build to provide better facilities for the welfare of dogs that stay with them. Paving stones are going on pre-sale soon, and each which will be engraved with a family or business name, to provide the new pathway.
However, the charity needs to find someone to carve the messages.
Chair of Eden Animal Rescue, Chris Cheetham said: “This is a wonderful opportunity for individuals, families and businesses to be part of our centre – raising funds for the new kennel block and providing a much needed path.
“This is such a fantastic way to help the appeal, and one which we hope our supporter, including businesses both near and far will take advantage of.
“The pavers will make a really special, permanent gift for a birthday, anniversary or as a memorial for a family member, friend or beloved pet. The pathway will be something that can be visited by generations of families in years to come.
“However we need to find crafts people to carve the names and messages into our new paving stones. We would love to hear from anyone with the skills to carve our pavers.”
