An exclusive dinner with Mark Greenaway at Stove

Stove Restaurant on the Langdale Estate in the Langdale Valley is hosting an exclusive dinner with acclaimed chef Mark Greenaway on Wednesday the 20th November. Guests will get to enjoy a special menu prepared by Mark, plus they’ll be given a souvenir copy of Mark’s book ‘Progression – Recipes by Mark Greenaway’ to take home.

The warming menu, perfect for Winter, features Snacks including seaweed cured halibut with dill and crispy seaweed, and stuffed choux with caviar and crème fraiche, followed by a Starter of lightly cured Scottish mackerel with beetroot, horseradish and pickled walnuts. The Main will be Creedy Carver duck breast served with potato rosti, fig and cranberries and Dessert will be gingerbread with pear jam and granita. A vegan menu is available.

From a young age, Chef Greenaway’s passion for cooking flourished as he worked in some of the world’s finest dining establishments. He has performed live food demonstrations at the BBC Good Food Show, taught at renowned culinary schools, and represented Scotland in Singapore, cooking two banquets for the late Queen’s 90th birthday celebrations. Mark has also made numerous TV appearances, including on BBC2’s Great British Menu, a three-part documentary for BBC2, BBC1’s Saturday Kitchen Live and Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch.

Tickets to Stove’s Dinner with Mark Greenaway cost £100 per person including a copy of his book worth £65. For those that would like to stay over, special rates are available at both Langdale Hotel and Brimstone Hotel for the night.
