A new co-production between Liz Richardson Productions Ltd, imPOSSIBLE Producing and Theatre by the Lake is a beautiful storytelling piece about grief and outdoor swimming. Devised by Liz Richardson (Gutted) and Andy Routledge (Ventoux) featuring live music and video projection.
SWIM has been newly devised to premiere at Theatre by the Lake in Spring 2022 ahead of a short tour across Cumbria and the South West.
SWIM follows the true story of three sisters from a village in the Peak District. One sister lost her baby girl, another sister lost her young son. The remaining older sister (Lisa) is grieving for both. The show is about Liz’s friendship with Lisa, the community they live in, the highs and the lows whilst they try to keep afloat through outdoor swimming. A tale with humour and heart.

An R&D was first commissioned and performed at HOME Manchester and Edinburgh Fringe Festival as a Pleasance Futures award selection. This new version is perfectly placed to respond to our global grief post Covid 19.
