The Yan, one of Cumbria’s best places to eat, is throwing a foodie street party to celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee on Sunday 5 June and everyone is invited.
The chic bistro, which is renowned for its rustic comfort food, with everything cooked, baked, pickled, preserved and smoked from scratch by Executive Chef Will Manley and his team, will have bunting galore at its pretty site on Broadrayne Farm, set at the foot of the fells near Grasmere village. Gin and tonics will be flowing, the barbeque will be fired up with The Yan’s delicious slow-cooked meats and there will be a feast of 1950s-inspired party food all with a hearty Yan twist…Think cheese croquettes topped with brûléed pineapple!
Throughout the Jubilee weekend, from Thursday 2 June to Saturday 4 June, The Yan’s bistro will be offering nostalgic Jubilee-inspired specials too, such as Queen of Puddings and Coronation Chicken Kiev filled with a curried sultana butter, topped with curry sauce.
Tables are available for everyone throughout the Jubilee weekend. To attend The Yan’s street party, diners just need to book a table from 3pm onwards for the 5th of June and meals and drinks will simply be charged as taken.
