Families are invited to hop over to Treetop Nets in the Lake District during April school holidays for a cracking Easter hunt with a difference.
The Lake District’s high ropes treetop adventure, ‘Treetop Nets’ located at Brockhole on Windermere, is taking the Easter hunt to a whole new level with an energetic aerial egg hunt in the high trees, this year, ditching chocolate eggs as prizes in favour of a greener alternative, ‘Treebombs’.
All visitors to Treetop Nets will be invited to take part in the exciting Easter Treetop Trail which runs from 1 – 19 April, where kids can run free on the giant aerial trampolines while searching for the 20 wooden Easter bunnies that are hidden up amongst the trees.
Once all 20 bunnies are found, children will be rewarded with a unique ‘Treebomb’ prize to take home, each containing hundreds of native Alder and Maple tree seeds.
This is all part of the popular treetop attractions bid to become a carbon neutral business and fight climate change.
Anyone participating at Treetop Nets can take part in the Easter hunt at no extra charge.
Treetop Nets Managing Director Mike Turner, says, “While chocolate is the more traditional Easter prize, we love using this as an opportunity to encourage kids to engage with the environment. After spending time up in the trees, we hope our visitors develop a strong appreciation for our planet’s beautiful woodlands and want to play a part in protecting and growing these spaces for future generations.”
“It is estimated that it takes over 101 trees per person to offset your carbon output. Planting trees is an essential part of fighting climate change and we want to do our bit. Treebombs make mass planting even easier because each one contains hundreds of native tree seeds and they are designed to germinate quickly and be resilient to external factors.’
Launching on 1 April and running everyday throughout the Easter break until 19 April, the activity is open to all participants of Treetop Nets.
Anyone over the age of 3 can take part, with full supervision required for under 5s.
Prebooking is strongly recommended, book online at www.treetoptrek.co.uk
