Launched right before lockdown, the new Lakeside Suites at Storrs Hall in the Lake District are set to reopen their doors on 4 July.
The six Lakeside Suites are all self-contained with their own entrance and set apart from the hotel within Storrs Hall’s 17 acres of private woodland and gardens, just metres from the shores of Windermere, England’s largest lake.
Each Suite has its own private Lakeland stone terrace and its own Japanese-style cedar wood hot tub, some with views right over the lake, some with views of the surrounding woodland. Two of the suites are accessible for those with limited mobility, with car access directly to them. Two are dog friendly.
The suites are grown-ups only and have floor-to-ceiling glazed walls so guests can constantly make the most of the panoramic lake views. Their interiors are sumptuous and inspired by the colours of the landscape outside, with underfloor heating, enormous super-king sized beds, luxe stone-clad bathrooms, heated boot-shelves and living flame fireplaces all as standard.
Snacks and treats and a fridge stocked with a selection of complimentary beverages are the finishing touches.
Though Storrs is located in one of the most popular areas of the Lakes, guests can enjoy a quiet secluded retreat there, encountering few others and enjoying wild swimming from its private lakeshore, pretty walks within its acres of private grounds and scenic cycle rides right from its doorstep (bike storage is available).
Guests staying in the Lakeside Suites can enjoy meals and cocktails at the hotel itself, just a short walk away, which has obviously implemented the necessary social distancing measures to keep them safe.
