Leading provider of adult social care and support, National Care Group has welcomed more than 260 new colleagues in the first quarter of the year.
With 268 new recruits joining the company in total, including nine senior hires, the recruitment boom highlights the company as being one of the foremost providers of support services for vulnerable adults in the country.
‘Made with care’ campaign
The new starters come at a time when a national spotlight is on adult social care in the UK, following the government’s recently concluded ‘Made With Care’ campaign, which encouraged job seekers to take up a role in the sector, given a projected shortfall of 105,000 vacancies needing to be filled by 2035.
Claire Leake, people director at National Care Group said: “We’re incredibly pleased to have welcomed so many people to the group this year. A career in adult social care is not a decision that is taken lightly by many but having the opportunity to inspire individuals to pursue their interests and live active, social, and enjoyable lives is hugely rewarding.
“This recruitment not only highlights how fulfilling the sector can be, but also that our services are ever-growing. Our core ethos is to continue placing the organisation in a position where we can provide the best care and support whilst unlocking the potential for even more vulnerable adults across the UK.”
News starters for services in the North West
Services in the North West have seen the biggest influx of new starters, with Affinity and Shelton Care services in Lancashire, Manchester, Liverpool and Stoke-on-Trent respectively having taken on more than 220 team members.
Charlotte Lumley, regional operations director for National Care Group covering the North of England said: “Across the group, we’re delighted to have successfully taken on such a huge influx of colleagues. Our north-west bases house some of our biggest services, so from support worker level to team leaders and beyond, it’s incredibly important to be ever adding to our staffing levels to ensure the highest standards of care can be maintained at all times.”
National Care Group welcome colleagues
In addition to its appointments in the North-West, National Care Group has also welcomed colleagues in Durham, Kent, Norfolk, Wiltshire, and Wales to take on roles ranging from support workers through to registered managers.
National Care Group currently supports 1,250 vulnerable adults, each with varying healthcare and specialist needs. It offers more than 300 support services, employing 2,300 colleagues across England and Wales.
