Women in business from across Cumbria are invited to Pink Link’s first International Women’s Day in Cumbria on 6 March at The Villa Levens. This will be the ideal opportunity for women to make connections and forge new relationships. Many women find female networking events the ideal place to grow their business. The environment is friendly and supportive and is a great way to exchange ideas as well as business cards.
Raising awareness challenges women face in the workplace
As awareness is heightened about the obstacles that women face in the workplace, the 2019 International Women’s Day theme ‘Balance For Better’ for is a well-timed choice. It is hoped that the #IWD2019 campaign will help to accelerate the need to create balance for female entrepreneurs worldwide.
Balancing work and home life

Last year, we were blown away by the calibre of Cumbrian businesses that we saw at the 2018 Enterprise Vision awards. Seventeen female entrepreneurs made it to the final and four were crowned EVA Winners! We are hoping to connect with even more businesswomen from across the region in 2019.”

Dr Chapman travels all over the world helping women to find their direction in life and to find their reason why!
First International Women’s Day 1911
International Women’s Day was first celebrated in 1911. Over one hundred years later, IWD is commemorated all over the world. IWD addresses the social, political, economic and business successes of women and raises the importance of education and career opportunities. Pink Link have been at the forefront of marking this day in the UK. Their annual events brings women of all ages and professions together to support, inspire and motivate each other.
