AFTER nine years of trading as Consulting Cumbria Ltd, Carlisle-based search engine specialist, Ray Cassidy, is rebranding as ClimbHigh SEO.
“The new name works well for me in lots of ways,” says Ray. “The focus on search engine optimisation (SEO) is a much more accurate description of what I do and the services are all about getting people’s websites more visible and higher up on search engine results – hence the climbing. Add to that the fact that a lot of my clients are focused on the outdoors, including climbing, and the new name is a great fit.”
Ray started working on search engine optimisation, as well as other digital marketing approaches, over 12 years ago as Consulting Cumbria. A year ago, he created Newton’s Cradle, a partnership with web design colleague, Chris Wilcox, to work with bigger companies and more complex organisations. This has also revealed new opportunities, resulting in the shift in Ray’s emphasis more and more towards SEO.
“The time seems right to make my own business name more clearly about SEO,” says Ray, “so I’m now using the new name and branding that I’ve been working on with Claire Armstrong of Big Beans Graphic Design, also based in Carlisle.”
“Businesses in and around Carlisle understand the value of a strong web presence,” says Ray, “and they often invest a lot in the design side. However, they’re not always making the most of the opportunities to be grabbed when people are searching online, whether local, across Cumbria or further afield. Effective SEO is still what makes the difference in being found and gets businesses seen when people are ready to buy.”
Mike Norbury of Keswick Mountain Adventure is a longstanding client of Ray’s: “The difference Ray has made to my internet presence has turned my business around,” he says. “He’s been invaluable as he always gives sound advice and seems to have the right answers.”
As you would expect, Ray has relaunched the business with a new ClimbHigh SEO website at www.climbhighseo.agency and he is looking forward to helping Cumbria’s businesses to climb high the web rankings in the months to come.
