The regional finalists in this year’s search for Britain’s top specialist food and drink retailers have been revealed.
Farm Shop & Deli Show has unveiled the regional finalists in its 2022 Retailer Awards, including Cumbria’s Winter Tarn Dairy, representing the North West region in the cheesemonger category.
The award shortlist selected by an esteemed panel of judges includes some of the UK’s best loved specialist retailers, pillars of their respective communities and champions of great produce and sustainable practice.
This year the judges had the daunting task selecting their longlist of finalists from the hundreds of entries received this year.
This year the panel paid special attention to the ways in which retailers have adapted and evolved their businesses in recent years, with a particular focus on businesses undertaking sustainable initiatives while also supporting their customers, communities and suppliers and demonstrating business innovation.
The resulting businesses span 12 categories and nine UK regions. The regional winners will be revealed live at the Farm Shop & Deli Show, being held at the NEC Birmingham on Monday 25th April 2022, in what promises to be a fantastic celebration of the sector.
Harry Jackson from Winter Tarn Dairy commented: ‘’We are over the moon to be listed alongside some of the best specialist retailers in the UK. We have concentrated on delivering a great product to our customers and being shortlisted goes some way to demonstrating that we are getting it right and are heading in the right direction.’’
“With these awards we celebrate those retailers whose incredible spirit and entrepreneurial mindset has shone through,” said Andrew Reed, MD of events & exhibitions at Farm Shop & Deli Show organiser William Reed, publisher of The Grocer.
The Farm Shop & Deli Show is part of the UK Food & Drink Shows at NEC Birmingham from 25th to 27th April. Uniting four shows under one roof, the event covers the complete supply chain in three days of insight, innovation and inspiration, with the content of each show tailored to meet the requirements of its respective audience.
